Brought up in deepest darkest
Dorset where life was all graft
and little money, Goodie took
up the bass in pursuit of
something different. Along
with friends from school they
set about making themselves
the next Def Leppard,
Metallica, or Sepultura.
After rehearsing in
basements and friend’s
front rooms long hair
became essential, thus
putting an end to any ideas
about joining the Army.

Whilst working in countless
dead end jobs punctuated
by weekends of Whisky
and Red Marlboro’s he
found a music course
at a nearby college
and signed up with
the view to learning
about something he
actually cared about.
Exceeding in his course
he was offered a place on
a degree course in London,
accepted and left the South
Coast behind.
