Device are holed up in their secret studio / panic-room, busily putting the finishing touches to their new album, provisionally titled All the Villains. The album, produced by stalwart of the British music scene, Glenn Skinner promises to be, in the bands own words, ‘a maelstrom of electric guitars, pounding rhythms, dangerous grooves and compellingly enigmatic lyrics’. By all accounts, the album is more hard-hitting than the band’s debut, Espionage, with the sound being stripped down to the classic rock line-up, with crashing breakers of distorted guitars and a totally wall-of-sound feel. Nice.
